This online activity will identify and explore issues related to the practice of pediatric medicine in primary care and subspecialty settings.
Primary care physicians, pediatric subspecialists, and other health care professionals who provide care for pediatric patients should participate in this activity.
At the end of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Analyze the legal issues surrounding medical marijuana use.
- Interpret the published data available for medical marijuana products.
- Compare and contrast the differences between cannabidiol (CBD) and marijuana.
Speaker Anup Patel, MD, receives grant/research support from GW Pharmaceuticals, is a consultant for Health Logix, Cyberonics and GW Pharmaceuticals, and receives remuneration from Cyberonics. Planning Committee member Karyn Kassis’s spouse has an employment/management position with Johnson & Johnson and Ethicon Surgical. These conflicts of interest were resolved by the CME Office.
